1. Sponsorship. The Tooele County Social Media Ambassador Contest (“Contest”)
is sponsored by State Street Partners, LLC and the County of Tooele, Utah (collectively
2. Eligibility. There is no purchase necessary to enter or win. The Contest is open to
legal residents of the United States who are eighteen (18) years or older at the time of entry.
Employees of [name of sponsor], its affiliates, licensees, franchisees, advertising, and
promotional agencies and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
3. Entry Procedure. To enter the Contest, you must submit an email application to
(i) Applicant’s full name;
(ii) Applicant’s address;
(iii) Description of size and nature of Applicant’s social media following;
(iv) Sample(s) of photo/video/social media content created by Applicant
sufficient to identify the Applicant’s skill and fit for the position; and
(v) A short statement explaining why the Applicant wants to be the Tooele
County Social Media Ambassador.
4. Description of Prizes. By [August 1 st 2019], Sponsor may select one grand
winner (“Grand Winner”) and up to twelve monthly winners (“Monthly Winners”) (collectively,
The Grand Winner shall be eligible to receive:
(i) An honorary position as the Tooele County Social Media Ambassador;
(ii) $25,000.00 to be paid out via periodic payments over the course of twelve months
based on performance as Tooele County Social Media Ambassador and as set
forth in the Tooele County Social Media Ambassador Agreement; and
(iii) digital equipment to assist the Grand Winner in creating and post content
promoting Tooele County’s various tourism and event-related activities.
The Monthly Winners shall be eligible to each receive:
(i) $500 to be paid out at the end of the month after agreed-to Social Media
Ambassador tasks are performed;
(ii) digital equipment to create and post content promoting Tooele County’s various
tourism and event-related activities.
These positions, money, equipment, and other benefits are herein referred to as “Prizes.” Once
the Winners are selected as outlined herein, they must agree to and sign the Tooele County
Social Media Ambassador Agreement before receiving their prize. That Agreement outlines the
responsibilities and obligations of the Tooele County Social Media Ambassador. It is anticipated
that the winner will be expected to attend selected events, activities and locations within Tooele
County over the time period and take photos, video, or other digital assets and share, post, and
distribute on social media. The full list of events and locations is attached as Amendment A. All
content will and may be approved in advance by Tooele County. All content will be property of
Tooele County with no further rights compensation. The winner should also be prepared to edit,
review, archive and include the Tooele Valley tourism logos on all work. The winner may be
asked to speak to media outlets, additional social media influencers, etc. The winner works for
and in behalf of Tooele County and its Agency of Record, State Street Partners. Sponsor is under
no obligation to select Winners if it determines, in its sole discretion, that it has not received a
5. Duties of Participants; Limitation of Liability. By entering participants agreed
to be bound by these rules and the decisions of Sponsor which shall be final. All federal, state,
local, and municipal laws and regulations apply. Sponsor and the employees, officers, directors,
shareholders, agents, and representatives of Sponsor, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising,
promotion and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost,
delayed, damages, misdirected incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible entries; (ii) telephone,
electronic, hardware, or software program, network, internet, or computer malfunctions, failures,
or difficulties; (iii) errors in transmission; (iv) any condition caused by events beyond the control
of [name of sponsor] that may cause the contest to be disrupted; (v) any injuries, losses, or
damages of any kind caused by a Prize or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of a Prize,
or from participation the Contest, or (vi) any printing or typographical errors in materials
associated with the Contest.
6. Violation of Contest Rules. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any
participant or Winner who, in its sole suspicion, tampers with the entry process, intentionally
submits more than a single entry, violates these Rules, or acts in an unsportsmanlike, fraudulent,
or disruptive manner.
7. Selection of Winners. Sponsor shall determine who the Winners will be based on
criteria of demonstrated videography, photography, or writing experience and effectiveness,
demonstrated social media following, and ability to attend and report on identified events and
activities within the county. The selection process is private.
8. Notification of Winners; Substitution of Prizes. Winners will be notified by
Sponsor via email. Sponsor will attempt to re-send the email up to three times. If any Winner
does not respond to social media notification within three days of its transmission, or if the email
returns undeliverable after three attempts, the Prize will be forfeited and an alternate Winner will
be selected. Winners may not substitute or transfer Prizes. Prizes other than cash may not be
redeemable for cash. All taxes on Prizes are Winners’ responsibility. Limit one Prize per
9. Permissions. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use
Winners’ names, hometowns and likenesses for online posting, and/or any advertising and
publicity without additional compensation. Winners may also be required to sign and return a
release of liability, declaration of eligibility and, where lawful, publicity consent agreement, as
conditions of receiving a Prize. Failure to comply with the aforementioned conditions shall be
grounds for forfeiture of a Prize.
